Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R survives for 2022, but not for India

During the BS6 transition, Kawasaki discontinued the brand’s answer to Suzuki Hayabusa in the Indian market. While the Hayabusa was relaunched in India in the third-generation avatar. Kawasaki does not plan to bring the ZX-14R to our soil. But the motorcycle still survives in the United States.

2022 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R – Price and Colour

Kawasaki has introduced the 2022 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R in the North American market at the price of USD 15,399 MSRP. The motorcycle retails in a single variant and comes with a new colour theme in America. The 2022 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R comes with a Pearl Storm Gray/Metallic Diablo Black colour theme. The theme consists of a grey tank and body panels along with black highlights and red accents.

2022 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R – Engine Specification

The King of Quarter-Mile as it is affectionately known in America comes with an enormous 1,441cc engine. The inline four-cylinder engine produces ~ 210 PS of power and ~ 153 Nm of torque. The digitally fuel-injected engine comes with two selectable power modes – Full Power (for peak performance) and Low Power (for milder response). The low power mode delivers approximately 75% of full power output.

2022 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R – Mechanical Specification

The engine sits within a lightweight monocoque aluminium frame and features wind-tunnel-tested aerodynamic bodywork. The motorcycle rides on a 43mm cartridge-type upside-down front fork and bottom-link Uni-Trak rear suspension. Stopping power comes from Dual floating 310mm Brembo with dual radial-mounted Brembo 4-piston M50 monobloc callipers and ABS on the front. The rear gets a single 250mm disc with twin-piston caliper and ABS.

2022 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R – Top Features

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R comes with features such as three-mode Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), a back-torque limiting slipper clutch, a high-grade dashboard-style instruments cluster, stainless steel braided clutch and brake lines etc.

Will Kawasaki bring the Ninja ZX-14R back to the Indian market. We do not know, but the real question is, Do You Want One?
