Hyundai Unveils Tech & Safety Features of Creta Electric

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has revealed the tech and safety features of its upcoming Hyundai Creta Electric which will be unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The electric SUV is set to hit the market on January 17, 2025.

Cutting-Edge Technology

The Hyundai Creta Electric introduces several industry-first features designed to enhance the user experience. One standout feature is the In-Car Payment System, which allows users to pay for charging directly through the vehicle’s infotainment system.

Another notable feature is the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) Capability, which enables the vehicle to power external devices and appliances, effectively turning it into a mobile power source. Additionally, the Creta Electric offers Single Pedal Driving (i-Pedal), allowing drivers to control acceleration, deceleration, and braking with a single pedal for a more intuitive driving experience.

The SUV also boasts a 26.03 cm dual-curved screen, providing an immersive infotainment and driver display experience. Hyundai has equipped the Creta Electric with a Bose premium sound system and complimentary music streaming, enhancing the in-car ambiance.

Advanced Safety Features

Hyundai prioritizes safety with over 75 advanced safety features in the Creta Electric. The SUV is equipped with Level 2 ADAS Technology, including Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Warning, and Blind Spot Detection. The comprehensive safety suite also includes six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, Hill-Start Assist Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, and Electronic Stability Control.

Additional safety measures include a surround view monitor, blind-spot view monitor, and digital key for enhanced driver confidence and convenience. These features aim to provide a secure and stress-free driving experience for occupants.

Performance and Efficiency

The SUV comes with two battery options: a 51.4 kWh variant offering a range of 473 km and 126 kW power, and a 42 kWh variant with a range of 390 km and 99 kW power. The Creta Electric can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds.

The vehicle supports fast charging, enabling a 10-80% charge in approximately 58 minutes using a DC charger. For home charging, an 11 kW AC charger can fully charge the battery from 10% to 100% in about 4 hours.
