Hyundai Ioniq 5 will offer spacious & practical interiors

Written by Kanad Kalasur

Hyundai has released some more details about the upcoming Ioniq 5. This time around we have information about the interiors of the car. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is based on the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) that allows the vehicles to get maximum interior space utilisation. Here are some features of the car.

Front Seat Features

The Ioniq 5 will come with relaxing seats for the front occupants. They will recline to an optimal angle that will allow the occupant to relax and feel weightless. The seats will also offer calf support. The relaxation seat can be activated by pressing the dedicated relaxation button twice.

Additionally, the front seats have been designed for a transformative mobility experience. These futuristic seats have a narrow profile that help liberate much more space in the cabin of the car. These also get powered adjustment as well as lumbar support.

Rear Seat Features

Not to be left behind, even the rear occupants get some nice features. Unlike most cars, the rear seats too can be slid fore and aft and get a reclining function. Hyundai says that the seats can move by 135 mm forwards or backward. Again, this allows passengers to maximise leg space when not having much cargo.

Those sitting behind can further adjust the front passenger seat with the press of a single button. This adds convenience to a new dimension. The passenger seat walk-in device can be operated to adjust the slide or the recline from the back of the car.

Additionally, Hyundai has provided a memory function on all the seats. That way occupants can use any seat they want where up to 3 memory functions can be stored.

Sliding Centre Console

The centre console can be moved 140 mm, which adds to the versatility as well as the convenience of the occupants of the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

Flat Floor and Cockpit Design

Thanks to the use of under-floor batteries, there is no need for a centre tunnel. This ensures a flat floor which increases leg room and makes the car cabin feel airy and large. Further, the slim cockpit design ensures that there is enhanced space for the front occupants. Be it for storing their gadgets or other knick knacks or even better space for the occupants.
