Honda Cars India Limited is ready with its sale report for February 2021. The Japanese carmaker registered domestic sales of 9,324 units in February 2021 as compared to 7,268 units for the same period last year which translates to a growth of 28.3%. In terms of the exports, the figure rose from a minuscule 64 units in February 2020 to 987 units in February 2021. The sudden spike in the export figure is the result of Honda starting to export the all-new Honda City to left-hand drive markets. The shortage of the supply of semiconductors is still a challenge and Honda mentioned that it is taking all necessary measures and making the adjustments so that the production of the vehicles remains unhampered.
