Honda has unveiled its Elevate SUV. This SUV is going to be launched later this year in India. The Japanese car maker has been gradually releasing details of the new SUV. After disclosing the powertrain details of the car, the company has now shared more information about its fuel efficiency.
Honda Elevate SUV : How many km per litre can it go?
The upcoming Honda Elevate will be offered with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This motor develops 119 BHP @ 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm @ 4,300 rpm. The company is offering two gearbox options of the car – a 6-speed manual or a 7-step CVT automatic.
Coming to the numbers, the CVT is rated at 16.92 km/l while the manual will offer 15.31 km/l. Do note that these are ARAI certified figures under ideal conditions and not the real world mileage numbers.
Honda Elevate : More Details
In terms of dimensions, the Honda Elevate measures 4,312 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, and 1,650 mm in heigh. It has a wheelbase of 2,650 mm. Honda maintains a gross vehicle weight of 1,700 kg for CVT variants and 1,650 kg for manual transmission variants across all trim levels. Honda Elevate will come in four trim levels – V, SV, VX, and ZX.
While the Honda Elevate may lack some of the features offered by competitors. But it aims to make up for it with its commanding road presence and well-put-together interior layout. It comes equipped with Honda’s camera-based Sensing ADAS suite. This will come from mid-level trims onwards, indicating a focus on safety.
The Honda Elevate will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Hence Honda might do well to offer a highly competitive price tag with the Elevate. Furthermore, Honda has plans to launch a fully-electric version of the Elevate in the future.
