Honda Motorcycles Europe has rolled out a new upgrade for the 2021 Honda CRF1100 Africa Twin motorcycle in the European market. The MY2021 Honda Africa Twin now comes with Android Auto on the infotainment screen. The brand has announced that owners of the 2021 Honda Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports can visit their nearest Honda showrooms to install the new software on the motorcycle.
Android Auto
Android Auto is a Google application featuring mirror technology that allows application and smartphone features from an Android device to a compatible infotainment system, in this case, the Africa Twin’s 6.5-inch TFT touch screen display with Bluetooth connectivity. The infotainment system on the Africa Twin already supports Apple CarPlay which is. a similar platform for IOS operating software-based smartphones. The new Android Auto upgrade will allow users with Android phone to enjoy the benefits of mirroring their smartphones on the motorcycle’s screen.
Functionality
Android Auto enables users to have a clear visual display of their smartphone at all times and applications as well as functions can be used easily and safely by using voice commands. Android Auto also comes with Google Maps for easy navigation, favourite music, media, and messaging apps. The ease of use and voice-command operation also increases the safety of the rider. The new connectivity system is also available on the Honda GL1800 Gold Wing, CB1000R, X-ADV, Forza 750 and Forza 350.
2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports in India
Recently, Honda launched the 2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports in the Indian market with both Manual and DCT automatic gearbox options. The brand also commenced deliveries of the Africa Twin Adventure Sports in India through the premium big-bike dealerships Honda BigWing Topline, Andheri East (Mumbai, Maharashtra) and BigWing Topline, Levelle Road, (Bangalore, Karnataka). Expect the Android Auto software upgrade make its way to the Indian market as well.
