Hero MotoCorp is the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters. It reported sales of 436,993 units in June 2023. Currently, there is the arrival of the monsoon season in most parts of the country and positive economic indicators. Thus, the company anticipates an increase in demand. It also expects industry volumes to rise in the lead-up to the upcoming festive season.
There’s also a significant milestone of collaboration coming up. Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson will unveil their first jointly developed premium motorcycle. This is the Harley-Davidson X440, which we will see at the Hero Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur on July 3rd. This marks Hero MotoCorp’s expansion into the premium motorcycle segment.
More New Products Coming In From Hero MotoCorp
Hero MotoCorp has been actively expanding its presence in the premium space. It recently launched the Xtreme 160R 4V in June. The Xtreme 160R 4V offers outstanding performance, a bold design, smart and connected features, and improved control. It will come in three variants. These are namely, Standard, Connected 2.0, and Pro, featuring Upside Down forks.
Additionally, the company introduced a refreshed range of its popular 100cc motorcycles. These are HF Deluxe and Passion+, in June 2023. The HF Deluxe now features four new stripes that enhance its dynamic appearance. Meanwhile, the Canvas Black Edition offers enhanced safety and convenience. The new Passion+ has undergone a design refresh to enhance its youthful appeal while improving utility and rider comfort.
Hero MotoCorp’s CSR Activities
There’s also a new corporate social responsibility initiative, ‘Hero Salutes Heroes of the Nation,’. Under this, Hero MotoCorp has partnered with the Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA) to support community development projects. Through this partnership, the company will aid CHETNA. This is an Early Intervention Center in Delhi that provides occupational therapy, speech therapy, play, and counselling services to children born with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
Hero MotoCorp’s focus is on innovation, expansion into the premium segment, and social responsibility initiatives. Thus the company is aiming to strengthen its position in the motorcycle and scooter market in India.
