While Hyundai is yet to announce an official date for the launch of the 2018 Creta facelift, all details are now available on the web. The most popular premium 5-seater SUV, the Hyundai Creta will get a mid-life makeover soon, and is already on sale in markets abroad.
For 2018, in India, the Hyundai Creta will come with a new cascading front grille, new front bumper, new fog lamp design, new body cladding, sharkfin antenna, new rear spoiler, new rear bumper & fog lamps, reprofiled tail lamps, reprofiled tail gate and of course, a reprofiled headlamp setup.
In terms of additional features, the 2018 Creta will benefit from a Smart Key Band, electric driver seat, electric sunroof, wireless charging, cruise control, and orange & blue body colour.
Powering the Creta will remain the same set of engines. Hyundai currently plonks a 1.4L diesel, 1.6L diesel and 1.6L petrol motor with the Creta here in India. The transmission options are also likely to remain unchanged. With more features, the pricing of the Hyundai Creta is all set to see a hike. With this facelift, Hyundai will continue the 5-seater layout for the Creta.
While the Renault Captur was launched with an intention to rival the Hyundai Creta, the South Korean manufacturer has seen no reason to worry with sales figures being consistent. Even with the Jeep Compass & new Mahindra XUV500 now on sale, the Hyundai Creta remains a popular choice for SUV buyers.
