Good news for motorcycle highway tourers as Triumph India, which is one of the most popular motorcycle brands is offering free luggage panniers on the purchase of the Triumph Tiger 800 XCx and the Tiger XRx. These luggage panniers which are made out of durable aluminium material are worth INR 1 lakh.
The Triumph Tiger 800 XCx is a more off-road focused motorcycle which can be used both on and off-road and comes with higher ground clearance, larger 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel which are spoked for more off-road use and the tyres are Bridgestone Battlewing with an option of Pirelli Scorpion Rally tyres. The XCx comes with an adjustable 43mm WP upside-down front fork with 220mm of travel and an adjustable WP monoshock with remote oil reservoir on the rear with 215mm of travel.
The Triumph XRx which is a more road-focussed motorcycle comes with 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear 10 spoke cast aluminium alloy wheels shod with Metzeler Tourance tyres. The XRx has a more road focused suspension and rides on 43mm Showa upside-down front forks with 180mm of travel on the front wheel and a hydraulically adjustable preload Showa monoshock with 170mm of travel on the rear wheel.
The Tiger XCx and the XRx are powered by the same engine which is an 800cc, inline 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC motor with a maximum power output of 95 PS @ 9,500 RPM and a peak torque of 79 Nm @ 8,050 RPM mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The stopping power on both the bikes comes from twin 305mm floating discs with Brembo 2-piston sliding calipers on the front and a single 255mm disc with Nissin single-piston sliding caliper on the rear. Both the bikes come with switchable ABS unit and traction control.
