One of India’s emerging EV start-ups, Bounce Infinity, has announced that it has conducted more than 10 lakh battery swaps in India. By achieving this milestone, Bounce has become the first Indian electric infrastructure company to achieve this landmark accomplishment. It has also managed to showcase its technological prowess and commit towards making mobility affordable and accessible to all citizens.
Benefits & Future of Bounce Infinity’s charging network
Utilising the same principle of regular fuel stations, the Infinity Swapping stations will sport fully-charged batteries for EV customers. These customers can then easily swap out their near-empty batteries for fully-charged ones within a few minutes. Via this infrastructure, customers need not wait for the long charging times showcased by their EVs, which greatly saves time. Bounce states that it’s currently working on expanding its Infinity Swapping Network which it introduced with its Infinity E1 e-scooter.
Unveiled in December 2020, the e-scooter comes with India’s first one-of-a-kind ‘Battery as a service’ option for its customers. This service has allowed customers to greatly reduce their running costs by almost 40%, compared to regular ICE-powered scooters. Bounce offers the Infinity E1 scooter with a battery that customers can remove and charge at their homes or offices. Along with greatly reducing the range anxiety of its customers, the company has made steps towards offering clean and affordable mobility.
Additionally, Bounce Infinity wholeheartedly supports the Government of India’s vision of an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ with green and pollution-free vehicles. By recently partnering with brands like Nobroker, Park+, Readyassist, Kitchens@, HelloWorld, and Goodbox, the company aims to enhance its network. Within the next 12-24 months, Bounce’s network will support 10 lakh+ e-scooter via various diverse locations across the country. This includes residential complexes, petrol bunks, restaurants, cafes, co-living spaces, corporate offices, kirana stores, etc., making it convenient for customers.
