BMW India has launched the new X5 xDrive SportX Plus edition in the Indian market. The German company will produce the Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) locally at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai. The brand has also announced that customers can book the BMW X5 xDrive SportX Plus edition online from the official BMW website. The SAV will also be available at BMW physical dealerships as per local COVID-19 laws.
BMW X5 xDrive SportX Plus – Price, Variants & Colours
The X5 xDrive SportX Plus comes with two variants – BMW X5 xDrive30d SportX Plus and BMW X5 xDrive40i SportX Plus. The BMW X5 xDrive30d SportX Plus comes with a price tag of INR 79.50 ex-showroom. The X5 xDrive40i SportX Plus comes with a price tag of INR 77.90 lakh ex-showroom. BMW is offering the X5 xDrive SportX Plus in three exterior colour options – Mineral White, Phytonic Blue and Black Sapphire. The SUV also comes with Canberra Beige and Black interior colours.
BMW X5 xDrive SportX Plus – Powertrain
Powering the BMW X5 xDrive SportX Plus is a 3.0-litre six-cylinder BMW Twin Power Turbo diesel engine. The engine produces 265 Hp of power and 620 Nm of torque. The motor is capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/hr in just 6.5 seconds. The second option is a 3.0-litre six-cylinder BMW Twin Turbo Power petrol engine. The petrol engine makes 340 Hp of power and 450 Nm of torque. The X5 can accelerate from 0-100 km/hr with the petrol powertrain in just 5.5 seconds. Both engines come with an 8-speed Steptronic Automatic Transmission.
BMW X5 xDrive SportX Plus – Features
The BMW X5 xDrive SportX Plus comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment system and a 12.3-inch instruments cluster. The SAV also comes with BMW ConnectedDrive features, as well as BMW Gesture Control and BMW Display Key. The SUV also features a BMW Head-Up Display and Wireless Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto. The car also gets LED headlights, LED fog lamps, and 3D wrap-around LED taillights, the Sports Leather Steering Wheel. The BMW X5 xDrive SportX Plus also comes with Sports Seats, a Panoramic glass roof, four-zone automatic climate control, Ambient Lighting, and a lot more.
BMW X5 xDrive SportX Plus – Safety & Service Package
The SAV comes with a BMW Safety pack that includes six airbags, side-impact protection, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), electric parking brake with auto-hold, Attentiveness Assistance, etc. The BMW X5 xDrive SportX Plus is available with BMW Service Inclusive and BMW Service Inclusive Plus options. The Condition Based Service packages come with a choice of plans from 3 years / 40,000 km to 10 years / 2,00,000 km. The service packages start at an attractive pricing of INR 1.55 per km.
