BMW Motorrad started producing its all electric CE 02 electric bike in India at the TVS Motor Company’s Hosur manufacturing facility in October 2023. However, the electric bike was not sold in the Indian market. But now, the brand has finally launched the CE 02 in India at the price of INR 4.49 lakh ex-showroom (Introductory). BMW Motorrad now offered us a teaser ride of the CE 02, a bike which has been developed in Munich Germany but produced in India. Technical Specifications
Powering the BMW CE 02 is a current excited synchronous motor with an output of 15 Hp. The electric motor is capable of producing 55 Nm of torque at 1000 rpm allowing the bike to achieve a 0-50 kmph sprint in just 3 seconds. The BMW Motorrad CE 02 is also capable of achieving a top speed of 90 kmph. The motor is coupled to a 3.92 kWh (Net Capacity) lithium-ion battery which comes with a claimed range of 108 km on a single charge. Charging options include a 0.9 kW portable charger while the Highline package comes with a 1.5 kW charger. With the 1.5-kW charger the CE 02 takes 102 minutes to charge from 20% SOC to 80% SOC and 3 hours 30 minutes to charge from 0-100% SOC.
Features
Features include LED lighting all around, USB Type-C charging port and an electronic immobilizer. The CE 02 comes with a 3.5-inch micro-TFT display that offers all the information specific to the ride. The BMW CE 02 comes with Flow and Surf riding modes as standard and the Highline package adds an additional Flash riding mode. The BMW Motorrad CE 02 also comes with features such heated grips and gold anodized forks with the optional highland package.
The BMW Motorrad CE 02 is now available to order at all BMW Motorrad Dealerships in India and is available in Cosmic Black in the standard trim and Cosmic Black 2 with the Highline package.
