Audi recently announced that the brand would be launching the e-tron and the e-tron Sportback in the Indian market. The brand has set 22nd July as the launch date for the all-electric e-tron range. Before the e-tron and e-tron Sportback launch, the German manufacturer has announced a new early bird offer.
Complimentary Wall Box Charger
Customers who purchase the Audi e-tron or the e-tron Sportback in 2021 will receive not one but two chargers. The Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback come with an 11kW compact charger. In 2021, Audi will also supply the customer with an additional wall box charger that can be installed at the customer’s preferable location – Home or Office.
Free Charging at 50kW DC Fast Chargers
In addition to this, Audi customers can also recharge their all-electric e-tron and e-tron Sportback at Audi India dealerships. The brand has announced that Audi India will equip key Audi dealerships with a 50kW DC fast charger in a phased manner. Early bird customers will also receive free charging at Audi India dealerships in 2021.
Finding an Audi Fast Charging Station
Using the ‘myAudi Connect’ app and ‘Chargers near me’ section, Audi e-tron customers can quickly locate all charging stations compatible with the all-electric car. Other OEM vehicles can also charge at Audi India DC fast chargers at cost. To promote electric mobility, Audi India will also open access to the ‘Chargers near me’ section of the ‘myAudi Connect’ app and the Audi website to all-electric car users in India.
Audi e-tron 50, e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55 Charging Capabilities
The brand will be retailing the e-tron brand in three variants. All three variants come with charging ports on both sides, allowing flexibility of parking. The brand has revealed that the Audi e-tron 55 and Audi e-tron Sportback 55 are capable of AC charging up to 11kW and DC charging
up to 150 kW. The Audi e-tron 50 is capable of AC charging up to 11 kW and DC charging up to 120 kW.
Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback – Specifications
Powering the e-tron 50 is a 230 kW electric motor capable of producing 540 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55 come with a 300kW electric motor producing 664 Nm of torque. The e-tron 50 delivers a range of 264 km – 379 km on a single charge, and the e-tron 55 and the e-tron Sportback 55 deliver a range of 359 km to 484 km on a single charge.
