Audi recently commenced the bookings of the e-tron all-electric car in the Indian market. Audi will retail the e-tron and the e-tron Sportback in the Indian market. The German car manufacturer has announced that Audi will be launching the Audi e-tron on 22 July 2021. In addition to this, the brand also confirmed that it will launch the car in three variant options.
Audi will launch the Audi e-tron 50 and Audi e-tron 55 variants. The brand will also introduce the Audi e-tron Sportback 55 in the Indian market, confirmed the brand. The Audi e-tron variants can be reserved by putting down INR 5 lakh at the nearest Audi dealership. The three variants will allow customers to choose from the most exhaustive options available in India’s luxury electric vehicle segment. The Audi e-tron will compete with the only two luxury electric vehicles in the Indian market – the Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar i-Pace.
Audi e-Tron – Powertrain Specifications
The Audi e-tron in the 50 variant comes with a 230 kW electric motor capable of producing 540 Nm of torque. In the e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55, the car comes with a 300kW power electric motor. The electric motor is capable of producing 664 Nm of torque. The e-tron 50 comes equipped with a 71 kW capable of returning a range of 264 km – 379 km on a single charge. The e-tron 55 and the e-tron Sportback 55 come with a larger 95 kWh battery pack capable of returning a range of 359 km to 484 km on a single charge.
From the Future, For the Future
According to Audi, the e-tron all-electric cars are from the future, for the future. They come with features such as a new platinum-grey single-frame grille and four horizontal struts inside the LED headlights. The car features a progressive design language with aesthetic cuts and crease lines and functional and aerodynamic exteriors.
