Ather Energy has released its sales report for April 2022. The Bangalore-based company sold 3,779 units of its electric scooter in April. Thus, recording a growth of over 255 per cent compared to April 2021. The month of April 2022 recorded the highest ever monthly sales for Ather. The company also says that the number of deliveries is just a fraction of the pre-orders. The high number of pre-orders is due to the unprecedented challenges in the supply chain. In addition to this, the manufacturer is also facing component shortages. The company says the high demand, even with the increased waiting times, shows consumers have strong faith in the engineering and reliability of the 450 Plus and 450X.
Ather continues expanding its retail presence across the country. The company recently inaugurated three new experience centres in Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Tirur and Malappuram (Kerala). With the new additions, the number of Experience Centre increases to 37 in 31 cities in the country.
The company also continues its efforts to create a favourable EV ecosystem by partnering with Statiq and Park+. The partnerships will help enhance the charging infrastructure in the country.
