Kawasaki has introduced the 2025 edition of its popular cruiser motorcycle, the Vulcan S, in the Indian market. Priced at INR 7.10 lakh (ex-showroom), the new model maintains the same price point as its predecessor.

Key Features and Specifications

The MY25 Kawasaki Vulcan S comes with a new color option, Pearl Matte Sage Green, while retaining its existing mechanical specifications. The motorcycle is powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, delivering a maximum output of 59.9 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 62.4 Nm at 6,600 rpm. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Design and Build

The Vulcan S features a low-slung stance typical of cruisers but with a contemporary twist. It includes an oval-shaped headlamp, blacked-out components, and alloy wheels, giving it a modern visual appeal. The bike is built on a perimeter frame and rides on an 18-17 inch alloy wheel combination. Suspension duties are handled by 41mm telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock.

Dimensions and Weight

The motorcycle has a kerb weight of 235 kg, a seat height of 705 mm, and a ground clearance of 130 mm. It also features a 14-litre fuel tank, ensuring a decent range for long rides.

Features

In terms of features, the Vulcan S is equipped with a semi-digital console, which, however, lacks Bluetooth connectivity. It also comes with dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.

Market Position

The Kawasaki Vulcan S competes in the mid-size cruiser segment, offering a blend of performance and comfort. Its modern design and reliable engine make it a viable option for those looking for a cruiser with contemporary aesthetics.

With the launch of the MY25 Vulcan S, Kawasaki continues to cater to the cruiser motorcycle enthusiasts in India. The unchanged price and new color option might attract new buyers while retaining the interest of existing fans of the model.
