Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch the new Dzire in the Indian market. The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is not likely to be just the extended body version of the new-ben Swift, but, the compact sedan is likely to come with a lot of features that will help it to compete with the like of the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura and the Tata Tigor in the Indian market. Currently, the launch date is not available, however the brand has started its teaser campaign for the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, first of which is “The Best is Just The beginning”.
Sunroof
Now, reports in the past as well as the spy shots have revealed that the Maruti Suzuki Dzire will come with a number of segment-first features. This is likely to include a sunroof which will be a first for the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. The brand understands that the Indian audience is quite attracted to sunroofs as a feature and thus the brand could have planned to add this feature on the upcoming Dzire and get the boost in its sales number.
Features
Reports now reveal that on the inside, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is likely to come with a dashboard which could draw inspiration from the new-generation Swift. The compact sedan is likely to come with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a multi information display for the driver. However, the analogue instruments are likely to continue on the new Dzire. Also, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is likely to come with wireless smartphone charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electric ORVMs, rear AC vents Type A and C USB ports etc.
Powertrain
Powering the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is likely to be the same Z12E engine from the new Swift. The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine produces 81.5 PS of power and 111.7 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The Swift also comes with an AMT transmission and the Dzire is also likely to use the same transmission upon launch.
