Kawasaki India has launched the 2023 Vulcan S in the Indian market. The price of the bike is set at INR 7.10 lakh, ex-showroom, pan India.
Updates for the 2023 version of the Kawasaki Vulcan S?
Kawasaki is offering the MY23 Vulcan S in one variant and only one colour shade. Buyers will be able to secure their Vulcan S in a metallic matte carbon gray paint. The Kawasaki Vulcan S continues to remain true to its design philosophy and gets minimal changes in terms of design. The bike gets a low stance along with a single pod headlamp, curved fuel tank and a single seat for the rider. Kawasaki has also equipped the bike with a compact exhaust.
Coming to the weight and dimensions of the motorcycle, the Vulcan S weighs in at 235 kg, comes with a 14-litre capacity fuel tank, has a seat height of 705 mm and the ground clearance is set at 130 mm.
2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S : Hardware & Safety Features
Kawasaki has not updated the features and hardware on the Vulcan S for the 2023 model year. The bike continues to retain the perimeter frame, while the suspension duties are handled by 41mm front forks and a rear mono shock which is adjustable for preload.
The braking hardware consists of a 300mm disc at the front and a 250mm disc at the rear. Kawasaki has equipped the Vulcan S with a dual-channel ABS set-up.
Powertrain of the 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S
In terms of engine, the 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S continues with the 649cc liquid cooled, parallel twin engine. This motor delivers a peak power of 59.9 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and a max torque of 62.4 Nm @ 6,000 rpm. The transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox.
In the Indian market, the Kawasaki Vulcan S will head against the likes of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and Benelli 502C.
