Are you planning to get the Ola S1 electric scooter sometime soon? This news report is just for you. In an attempt to curtail the falling sales, Ola Electric is now offering a discount of INR 10,000 for the S1 Pro electric scooter. Thus accounting for this price drop, the Ola S1 Pro will now retail at INR 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Therefore the scooter is back to the original price with which it was launched in August 2021.

Ola S1 Pro Discount Details

Back in May, Ola had hiked the prices of the S1 Pro in May INR 10,000. Then a lot of negative customer reviews on the internet somehow impacted the brand’s sales. Thus Ola’s sales numbers began to slide soon. The figure went down from 9,249 units in May to 3,421 units in August. This is as per data on the Central government’s VAHAN portal.

Hence as an incentive to attract more customers, Ola is offering INR 10,000 off its S1 Pro scooter. Apparently, this is valid only until October 5. Aside from this cash discount, customers can also avail of an INR 1,500 discount on its 5-year extended warranty. Furthermore, there’s also a reduced interest rate starting at 8.99 per cent (down by 2.2 per cent) and zero processing fee on loans. Noteworthy to mention again, these offers are also valid only till October 5.

Interestingly, this isn’t the only move Ola has made to boost sales. The manufacturer recently announced that it is planning to open over 200 experience centres across India by March 2023. This comes as a surprise because, initially, Ola had firmly committed to a digital-only sales model. Thus with the introduction of these dealership outlets, Ola will aim to arrest the falling sales. These dealerships will spread positive awareness about the brand and help create a positive marketing impression around the company.
