2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza launched in India at INR 7.99 lakh

Maruti Suzuki has launched the all-new ‘Hot and Techy’ Brezza in the Indian market. The brand has been teasing the SUV for quite some time, and now it is finally here. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza will also see a change to its name. The brand has decided to drop the ‘Vitara’ moniker. With all the new technology and features on offer, the brand says the new Brezza is a ‘Technophile’s Dream’ and H.O.T. – High On Technology.

Maruti Suzuki opened the bookings for the 2022 Brezza on 20th June 2022. Interested customers can book the compact SUV by paying an amount of INR 11,000. Customers can place their bookings by visiting their nearest MS ARENA dealerships or using the company’s website.

Maruti Suzuki also said they had received 45,000 bookings so far. Furthermore, the brand said it received a booking every 4 minutes. Thus, customers are showing a good response to the 2022 Brezza.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza – Variants, Price & Colour Options

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza will be available in four trims. These are – LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+. The pricing starts at INR 7.99 lakh ex-showroom for the LXI variant. Meanwhile, the range tops at INR 13.96 lakh ex-showroom for the ZXI+ Dual Tone AT. The detailed pricing is as follows –

The 2022 Brezza will also be available through the company’s subscription plan. The subscription pricing starts at INR 18,300 per month.

The all-new Brezza will be available in three dual-tone options and six single-tone. The single-tone options are – Prime Splendid Silver, Pearl Arctic White, Metallic Magma Grey, Sizzling Red, Pearl Brave Khaka and Exuberant Blue. Meanwhile, the dual-tone options are – Sizzling Red and Black, Khaki Brave and White and Splendid Silver and Black. In addition to this, Maruti Suzuki will also offer two accessory packages – Terrascape and Metroscape.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza – Highlights

On the outside, the Brezza looks much more modern than the old model. It features a more upright stance and sharper styling. At the front, the 2022 Brezza gets a new twin-projector headlight setup and a new LED DRL signature. The LED DRL also doubles up as the side-turn indicator. Sitting between the headlights is a new grille design with chrome accents. On the sides, we see the new dual-tone alloy wheels and the more upright stance. At the rear, the car gets new slim LED taillights which have a wraparound design. Between the taillights sits the chrome Brezza lettering.

On the inside, it sports a new design and many new features. The highlight features on the inside include ambient lighting, a heads-up display, paddle shifters for the automatic version and a wireless charging dock. The brand also equipped the 2022 Brezza with an electric sunroof. Maruti Suzuki says this was one of the most requested features. The Brezza will also get a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with an HD display. The system features ARKAMYS-powered sound acoustic tuning through ‘Surround Sense’. The Suzuki Connect telematics solution will also enable over 40 connected features. Customers can access these features through the Suzuki Connect App and Alexa Skill.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza – Powertrain

Powering the 2022 Brezza will be the 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine. The engine also features smart hybrid technology. The motor makes 102 HP of power and 136.8 Nm of torque. Gearbox options will include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Thus, this is the same engine and gearbox combination we also see in the Ertiga and XL6 MPVs. The 2022 Brezza will return a fuel efficiency of up to 20.15 kmpl. At the same time, the automatic version is rated at 19.80 kmpl.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza – Safety Features

The 2022 Brezza will feature dual airbags as standard across the range. The top-end ZXI+ trims will get 6 airbags. The all-new Brezza will feature an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist (HHA) as standard across all the variants. Other safety features include reverse parking sensors, a high-speed alert system, ISOFIX child seat restraint and more.
