Hero MotoCorp handed over 150 motorcycles to Uttarakhand Police Department

Hero MotoCorp has handed over 150 Hero motorcycles to the Uttarakhand Police Department as part of its partnership with the Uttarakhand state government. This initiative also comes under the two-wheeler maker’s flagship CSR program – Hero WeCare. These 150 units of motorcycles are the Hero Glamour FI 125. Hero MotoCorp mentioned that these motorcycles come with specially fitted necessary accessories, including sirens and flashlights.

Police officers will use them for active patrolling in their respective areas of jurisdiction. This move will ensure overall security, including road safety and rapid services during emergency situations. In addition to this, Hero MotoCorp had recently handed over 300 motorcycles to the state forest department through the Himalayan Eco Restoration, Biodiversity Conservation and Livelihood Enhancement Society in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.

Other Key Highlights Of Hero MotoCorp In Uttrakhand

The company handled over 13 life-support ambulances for the Government of Uttarakhand. To fight Covid-19, Hero MotoCorp supported Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama in Kankhal, Haridwar, to strengthen the healthcare system with a 122-bed COVID-19 hospital. This hospital was instrumental in providing support, and a total of 1,550 Covid patients benefited in the second wave of the pandemic.

Hero MotoCorp also extended its support in administering 5023 doses of vaccines to the people in Haridwar. The company also partnered with the local health department and facilitated vaccination for specially-abled people in the district. A total of 2019 specially-abled citizens benefited through this initiative. To keep the Covid -19 infections in check, Hero MotoCorp provided Covid Care Kits with PPE Kits, Masks, sanitisers, Hand Gloves, and also Pulse Oximeters to various hospitals in Uttarakhand.

Other Updates

Hero MotoCorp recently announced a price hike effective from July 1, 2022. As a part of this, Hero MotoCorp’s range of motorcycles will see a price increase of up to INR 3,000. We are also still waiting for an official date for the launch of the two-wheeler maker’s first electric product. This is an electric scooter which Hero will sell under the sub-brand of Vida.
