Hero MotoCorp handed over 300 motorcycles, 600 helmets & more to Uttarakhand Government

Hero MotoCorp has announced its partnership with the Uttarakhand government. As a part, the two-wheeler maker will present 300 motorcycles and 600 helmets to the Department of Forests. It is a part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform. The name of the platform is “Hero WeCare”. Hero also delivered 300 motorcycles with all the necessary equipment for a forest guard. These include hooters, flashlights, leg guards, helmet locks, and waterproof side bags.

Additionally, the company also delivered 600 helmets. These motorcycles are also a great asset that will enable forest guards and rangers to conduct effective active patrols in the forest. All this will help greatly increase their mobility to keep a check on various activities. These include poaching and illegal deforestation, forest fires, and also protection of trees/forest and wild animals.

Hero MotoCorp’s Other Initiatives In Uttarakhand

The two-wheeler maker recently handed over 13 life-support ambulances to the Government of Uttarakhand. Furthermore, the company supported Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama in Kankhal, Haridwar, to strengthen the healthcare system with a 122-bed COVID-19 hospital. This has helped a total of 1,550 Covid patients in the second wave of the pandemic. In addition to this, Hero MotoCorp also administered 5023 doses of vaccines in Haridwar.

With support from the local health department, Hero MotoCorp facilitated vaccination for 2019 specially-abled people in the district. To help fight the Covid cases, Hero MotoCorp also provided Covid Care Kits with PPE Kits, Masks, sanitisers, Hand Gloves, and Pulse oximeters to various hospitals in Uttarakhand. Furthermore, the company also extended support to Government Medical College and Hospital Dehradun and Haldwani, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Swami Bhumanand Hospital, Haridwar, CMO Office in Roshnabad, Haridwar.

Vida Electric Scooter

Hero MotoCorp is preparing itself for the launch of its first-ever electric scooter. Under the brand name of Vida, Hero MotoCorp’s electric sub-brand, the company is set to enter the ever-competitive electric two-wheeler segment. We are expecting the scooter to go on sale in the upcoming festive season.
