MY23 Kawasaki ZX-6R super sport motorcycle revealed

Kawasaki has updated its middleweight supersport, ZX-6R, with new colours for MY23 in the international markets. The Japanese bike manufacturer sells the ZX-6R internationally in two variants – ABS and Non-ABS. Apart from the new colours, Kawasaki has not made any other changes to the motorcycle.

The pricing for the 2023 Ninja ZX-6R starts at USD 10,699 MSRP for the Non-ABS variant. On the other hand, the ABS variant retails at USD 11,999 MSRP. The model is not available in the European markets. Though the model is still available in some international markets, it is highly unlikely that it will make its way to India again.

2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R – New Colour Options

For 2023 the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is available in two colour options. The Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray with Metallic Diablo Black is available with Non-ABS and ABS variants. However, the other colour option, Metallic Matte Twilight Blue with Metallic Diablo Black, is only available with the Non-ABS variant.

2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R – Highlights

Apart from the new colour options, the bike remains unchanged. Hence, it continues to use the same twin-pod LED headlights, sporty full-fairing design, side-slung exhaust and supersport ergonomics. It gets features like a traction control system, power modes, slip and assist clutch and a quickshifter.

The engine remains the same 636cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder. It uses a 16-valve DOHC valvetrain. As for the suspension, it uses 41 mm upside-down Showa SFF-BP forks. It also features stepless adjustability for rebound and compression damping. The spring preload is also adjustable. While at the back, it uses a fully adjustable Showa monoshock. At the front, the bike gets dual 310 mm discs with Nissan monoblock callipers. Meanwhile, the rear uses a single 220 mm disc with a single-piston calliper. The ZX-6R rides on a 120-section front and a 180-section rear tyre. It tips the scales at 195 kg.
