Hyundai has been road testing its upcoming generation of the Venue compact SUV on foreign turf. The new spy shots have surfaced online, showing the new taillights, alloy wheels, and other critical details. Read more below.

With the new-gen Venue, Hyundai will completely change its design language and appearance. The test car, although heavily camouflaged, appears more boxy and upright in stance as compared to the current model.

The latest spy images were taken in South Korea, where the test car was spotted on a highway. Its new connected LED taillights are partially visible, which hints at a new outlook for the rear.

Moreover, the side profile also appears to be revamped in design as it gets a new glass area, new and bigger ORVMs, and machine-cut alloy wheels, which are identical to the bigger models like Creta and Verna.

Apart from the design, Hyundai will also offer a refreshed cabin design with a connected screen display and more features, including the likes of level 1 ADAS and advanced wireless functions.

Under the hood, the next-gen Venue will continue using the current engine and transmission options. These include a 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel, which are paired with a 5-speed MT, a 6-speed MT, and a 7-speed DCT gearbox options.

Hyundai is likely to launch the new Venue model in India later this year. The prices for the new model will be marginally higher than the current car.
