2025 Bajaj Chetak electric scooter launched in India, new ’35 Series’

Bajaj Auto Ltd. has launched 2025 Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter, introducing the new ’35 Series’. The flagship series, which includes three variants: Chetak 3501, 3502, and 3503, is designed to offer enhanced performance, convenience, and safety features.

The Best Chetak Yet

The name ’35 Series’ is derived from the powerful 3.5 kWh battery capacity that these models boast. Bajaj Auto has packed the 35 Series with numerous upgrades that promise to deliver a superior riding experience. The all-new floorboard batteries not only enhance the scooter’s ergonomics but also provide a spacious 35-liter under-seat storage capacity, the largest in its class.

Bajaj Chetak 3501 Key Features

The 2025 Chetak 35 Series stands out with several key features:

  • Longest Range Yet: The new models offer an improved range of 153 km on a single charge, making them ideal for longer commutes.
  • Quickest Charge Yet: Riders can achieve a 0-80% charge in just 3 hours, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Smart Touchscreen Console: Integrated with navigation, music control, document storage, and call handling, the touchscreen console elevates the riding experience.
  • Advanced Safety Features: The TecPac includes remote immobilization, Guide-me-Home lights, geo-fencing, anti-theft measures, and accident detection for added peace of mind.

Enhanced Performance and Comfort

The Bajaj Chetak 35 Series is ergonomically designed for ease of riding, with a larger boot space and shorter charge times, allowing riders to go further and carry more.The seat is longer by 80 mm which adds to pillion comfort. The scooters’ new tech and safety features ensure a comfortable and secure ride. The improved battery performance and quick charging capability are particularly noteworthy, making the Chetak 35 Series a practical choice for daily commuters.

Bajaj Chetak 3502 and 3503 Variants

The 3502 is similar to the flagship 3501. However, it gets a 5-inch non-touch TFT display. It also misses out on the button lock and remote key system. The on-board charger that the 3501 gets is missing on the 3502.

The 3503 is the base variant in this series. It gets a negative LCD display like the older Chetak. It also misses on the front disk brake that the 3501 and 3502 get. Prices for the 3503 have not been revealed yet.

Market Impact

Bajaj Auto’s latest launch is expected to significantly impact the Indian electric scooter market. With its advanced features and competitive pricing, the Chetak 35 Series is set to attract a wide range of customers, from eco-conscious riders to tech-savvy urban commuters.

Deliveries for the 3501 variant will begin in mid-December. The 3502 variant which has been priced at INR 1.20 lakh will go off the shelves in January 2025.
