BMW has revealed the 2023 3-Series facelift. The new 3-Series facelift gets a design refresh, more premium ambience, advances in digitalisation, and more equipment. With the new 3-Series, BMW wants to write another chapter in the model’s worldwide success story.
In 2025, a new generation 3-Series will replace this one. According to rumours, the 2025 3-Series could go all-electric and use the new Neue Klasse architecture.
2023 BMW 3-Series Facelift – Exterior Highlights
The new 3-Series gets major styling tweaks done to the front and rear of the car. The side of the car remains similar to the pre-facelift one. Starting with the front, the model now gets a new kidney grille and headlight design. The full-LED headlights are now slimmer and house an inverted-L DRLs. These DRLs also double up as the turn signal indicators.
The adaptive LED headlights are optional and identifiable by the blue accents. BMW says the blue light below the headlights also gives the front a high-class appearance in the after hours. At the rear of the car, more surfaces now sport the body colour and feature a clean-cut design. The horizontal lines, slim taillights, and flared rear wheel arches accentuate the car’s width.
Additionally, the M Sport cars get a honeycomb pattern for the kidney grille and a more aggressive front and rear bumper design with gloss black detailing. The 2023 model year also introduces an M Sport Pro package, available as an extension of the M Package. The package includes more high-gloss black elements and an M Sport braking system with red calipers.
2023 BMW 3-Series Facelift – Interior Highlights
The new 3-Series joins BMW’s models to get the new curved instrument panel. The curved instrument panel houses a 14.9-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. It also features BMW’s latest eighth-generation iDrive interface. The new platform allows for much more functionality. These features include advanced real-time mapping, a parking space locator, wireless smartphone mirroring and voice control for key functions. Additionally, the model will also be able to get Over-The-Air updates and upgrades.
Other updates and revisions include paddle shifters as standard across the range, new touch-sensitive buttons on the centre console, slimmer air vents and a different shifter for the automatic transmission. Additionally, the new 3-series now gets three-zone adjustment for its climate control as standard across the range.
