Mahindra-backed ‘Classic Legends’ recently brought back the ‘Jawa’ brand back to life in the Indian market. The manufacturer has used its expertise in engineering and design, offering brand new classic motorcycles to enthusiasts in our country. Now, Classic Legends has taken a step further by resurrecting the Yezdi brand, which was also defunct in India. Again, the brand has launched three products under the Yezdi name, but these are not mere classic and nostalgic motorcycles. Yezdi offers an Adventure, a Scrambler and a Cruiser targeting a wider audience and competing with the well-established brands in the country.
Yezdi Adventure – Price and Colours
The Yezdi Adventure motorcycle comes with a starting price of INR 2,09,900 ex-showroom. The announced entry-level price is for the Slick Silver colour option. The Mambo Black colour option comes with a price tag of INR 2,11,900 ex-showroom, and the top-of-the-line Ranger Camo colour options come with a sticker price of INR 2,18,900 ex-showroom.
Yezdi Adventure – Design and Features
The Yezdi Adventure comes with a travel-enduro design language that draws inspiration from the modern-classic adventure motorcycles. The bike comes with a rounded headlamp and chiselled fuel tank. The Adventure also comes with a prominent beak-like high-mount fender and a tall windscreen. Yezdi offers the motorcycle with knuckle guards and a robust tank around the frame which also doubles up as a radiator guard. The motorcycle also comes with a step-up seat and saddle stays along with a rear fender mounted taillamp.
Yezdi offers features such as an LCD display which comes with functionalities such as time, trip, distance to empty, gear indicator and ABS mode indicator. The Adventure also comes with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation as standard. The Adventure also gets a first-of-its-kind Tilt Adjust display for both seated and out of the saddle riding positions.
The Yezdi app also comes with features such as route, navigations, live information, vehicle details and owner information. The brand also offers LED headlamps, indicators and tail lamps. The Adventure also gets handlebar-mounted USB and Type C charging points. The Adventure also comes with Road, Off-Road and Rain riding modes.
Yezdi Adventure – Technical Specifications
Powering the Yezdi Adventure is a 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine. The engine produces 30.2 PS of power and 29.9 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and comes with a single-sided upswept exhaust. The Adventure comes with a double cradle chassis that rides on long travel telescopic front fork with 200mm of travel. The rear end gets a preload-adjustable monoshock with 180mm of travel.
Thanks to the suspension and chassis, the Yezdi Adventure comes with a ground clearance of 220mm. The brand offers 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. The saddle height is a commanding 815mm, and the bike tips the scales at 188 kg at the kerb. The bike also comes with a 15.5-litre fuel tank for a more extended range. The Adventure motorcycle also comes with a 21-inch front and 19-inch rear spoked rims shod in 90/90 front and 130/80 rear dual-sport tyres.
