2022 Indian Motorcycle Chief line up launched in India at INR 20.75 lakh

American motorcycling brand Indian Motorcycle has launched the iconic Indian Cheif brand in the Indian market. The motorcycle has been launched on the 100th anniversary of its debut. The new 2022 Indian Chief range comprises the Chief Dark Horse, Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse and Indian Super Chief Limited models for India. The price for the Indian Chief range starts from INR 20.75 lakh ex-showroom. The Indian Chief brings premium features with industry-first equipment and American V-Twin styling.

2022 Indian Chief – Technical Specifications

Powering the 2022 Indian Chief is a 1890cc V-Twin (116CuIn) air-cooled engine. The monstrous engine produces 162 Nm of torque @ just 2900 RPMs. Indian boasts that the motorcycle is a mechanically classic and straightforward steel welded tube frame. The bike also features dual outboard preload-adjustable rear shocks and 46mm front forks with 132 mm travel. The bike comes with comfortable ergonomics, including a 28.5-degree lean angle, a low seat height of 662 mm, and a wet weight as low as 304 kg.

2022 Indian Chief – Design Highlights

The Indian Cheif comes with minimalist styling and a stripped-down riding experience. The motorcycle gets touches on the glory days of American V-Twin motorcycles bringing only the essentials to the table. The Chief Bobber Dark Horse comes with spoke wheels shod in bulky tyres and a muscular front end. The bike also comes with a solo bobber seat to complete its style type. The Bobber Dark Horse pays homage to military veterans and blue-collar rebels and the classic post-war era V-twins. The Indian Super Chief Limited comes with more versatility and offers riders the experience of the open highway. The bike features saddlebags and a windshield and calls for long highway rides.

2022 Indian Chief – Features

The Indian Cheif range comes with LED lighting, keyless ignition, and a 15.1-litre fuel tank. The Cheif also comes with a bobbed rear fender, cruise control by adjusting the throttle. The Indian Chief also features three riding modes – sport, standard or tour. But the piece de resistance is the industry-first 101 mm round RIDE COMMAND system. Riders can operate the system using finger touch or grip controls. The RIDE COMMAND system features bike and rides information and turn-by-turn navigation.
