Citroen’s second model for the Indian market, the C3, has been launched in India at introductory pricing of INR 5,70,500 ex-showroom. The French brand officially opened bookings for the funky-looking hatchback at the beginning of July. Later on, Citroen also introduced the La Maison PHYGITAL showrooms where the car would be available.
The brand has high hopes for the C3 as it will dictate its future plans for India. The Citroen C3 will have over 90 per cent localisation. The Made-In-India model will also be the first product from Citroen’s C-Cubed family of vehicles. Citroen will build the C3 at its manufacturing facility in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu.
The model is now available at La Maison Citroen PHYGITAL showrooms across 19 cities. Furthermore, in over 90 cities, including the ones outside the dealer network, Citroen will extend its 100 per cent direct online buying option. Customers will be able to buy the C3 online and get doorstep delivery directly from the factory.
2022 Citroen C3 – Variants & Pricing
The Citroen C3 will come in two variants – Live and Feel. In addition, there will be two engine options – 1.2-litre petrol and 1.2-litre turbo-petrol. The range starts with 1.2P Live, which costs INR 5,70,500 ex-showroom. At the same time, the range tops out at INR 8,05,500 ex-showroom for the 1.2P Turbo Dual Tone Vibe Pack. 2022 Citroen C3 – Colour Options
Citroen offers the C3 in a lot of colour options. The C3 will be available with a total of 10 colour options. These include 6 dual-tone and 4 single-tone options. The single-tone options include – Platinum Grey, Polar White, Zesty Orange and Steel Grey. On the other hand, the dual-tone options include – Polar White/Zesty Orange, Steel Grey/Platinum Grey, Platinum Grey/Zesty Orange, Polar White/Platinum Grey, Steel Grey/Zesty Orange and Zesty Orange/Platinum Grey.
2022 Citroen C3 – Engine & Transmission
The C3 will be available in two engine options – PureTech 82 and PureTech 110. The former uses a 1.2-litre three-cylinder, naturally-aspirated engine. The engine makes peak power of 82 PS and peak torque of 115 Nm. Meanwhile, the PureTech 110 also uses a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine but with a turbocharger. This helps it make a peak power of 110 PS and peak torque of 190 Nm. Both the engine options only come with a manual transmission option. However, the PureTech 82 gets a 5-speed manual while the PureTech 110 has a 6-speed manual. Unlike its competition, the C3 does not get an automatic transmission.
2022 Citroen C3 – Aftersales & Warranty
Citroen is calling its aftersales network the L’Atelier Citroen. It will also offer unique services like remote diagnostics and 100 per cent parts availability. This ensures that C3 owners have a stress-free ownership experience. Customers can even avail of Citroen Service on Wheels, which will cover the most common repairs at their doorstep. All these services are a part of Citroen Service Promise.
The brand will offer a standard warranty of 2 years / 40,000 km on the new C3. There will also be a 12-month / 10,000 km warranty on spare parts and accessories. In addition, Citroen is also offering 24/7 Roadside Assistance. Extended warranty and maintenance packages will also be available. However, the brand did not reveal the details for the same.
