Suzuki has launched the 2020 Suzuki GSX150 Bandit in the South-East Asian markets priced at IDR 26,900,000 On The Road (OTR) in Indonesian markets which roughly converts to INR 1.37 lakhs. The Suzuki GSX150 Bandit is a direct competitor to the Yamaha MT-15 which is priced higher at IDR 36,930,000 OTR in the Indonesian (INR 1.88 lakhs).
The Suzuki GSX150 Bandit features a super commuter styling suitable for urban environments as well as highway touring thanks to its 150cc liquid-cooled engine. The naked motorcycle features chiselled Multi-LED headlamp unit with body-coloured headlamp shrouds, integrated flyscreen, muscular fuel tank with angular tank shrouds, body-coloured aerodynamic belly pan, ergonomic scooped seat, upright handlebar Y-spoked alloy wheels, upswept exhaust and a fully digital-LCD backlit instrumentation console.
The Suzuki GSX150 Bandit is powered by a 147.3cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve, DOHC engine that produces 19.2 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle weighs 135 kg dry and comes with an accessible seat height of 790mm. The Suzuki GSX150 Bandit also features a right side up telescopic suspension unit on the from a monoshock on the rear and petal disc brakes for stopping power.
To put things into perspective the Yamaha MT-15 is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve DOHC engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) that produces 19.3 PS of power and 14.7 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. The Yamaha MT-15 weighs 133 kg and comes with upside-down telescopic forks, monoshock rear suspension, a Deltabox chassis, etc.
The Suzuki GSX150 bandit is offered in four colour options in the Indonesian market – Metallic Matte Titanium Silver, Brilliant White / Aura Yellow, Red / Titanium Black and Titanium Black
The brand does not have any plans to bring the Suzuki GSX150 Bandit in the Indian market anytime soon.
