The world has waited a long time for this one, and now it is official. Ducati has revealed the 2020 Streetfighter V4 naked sportsbike and it also comes in a Streetfighter V4 S variant. While rival Kawasaki has introduced a supercharged Z H2 naked motorcycle, it is the Ducati Streetfighter V4 which makes more power and hence, there are a lot of expectations from this one. We expect the Ducati Streetfighter V4 to come to India sometime by mid-2020 and pricing will be close to INR 20 lakh on-road.
Powering the Ducati Streetfighter V4 is a Desmosedici Stradale, V4, 1103cc, liquid-cooled petrol motor producing 208 HP of power @ 12750 RPM and 123 Nm of torque @ 11500 RPM. The V4 weighs 180 kg dry while the V4 S tips the scale at 178 kg. The engine is matched to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper assist clutch with a quickshifter for up / down. The bike sports a 4-2-1-2 exhaust system which is highlighted on the right-hand side also thanks to the bikes single-sided swing arm. With 845mm of seat height, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 is not really welcoming to shorter riders.
The bikes front frame is made out of aluminium alloy and the V4 S gets Ohlins NIX30 43mm USD front works with electronic controls along with a Ohlins TTX36 rear monoshock. Running on Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres, the 17″ alloy wheels are also different between the Streetfighter V4 & V4 S models. The standard Ducati Streetfighter V4 has a Showa front fork and a Sachs rear shock absorber.
The Ducati Streetfighter V4 has a 5″ TFT colour display instrument cluster along with other electronic rider aids which includes riding modes, power modes, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, engine braking control and self-learning function. The bike also has a provision for data analyzer and DPS module along with heater grips and theft alarm.
The biplane wings and fairing on the Ducati Streetfighter V4 make it look unlike any other naked superbike in the market, and this one surely is very, very desirable.
