Last week Tata launched the Punch.EV in the Indian market with a starting price of INR 10.99 lakh ex-showroom. Bookings for the Tata Punch.EV is now open across Tata.ev stores in India. In addition to this customers can also purchase the Tata Punch.EV from Tata Motors showrooms authorised for EV sales. Tata offers the Punch.EV with three variants and a Standard and Long Range battery option.
Tata Punch.EV – Exterior and Interior Features
The Tata Punch.EV comes with connected LED DRL below the bonnet shutline and sequential LED indicators. The DRL also indicates the charge status when charging. The Punch.EV also comes with a closed-off grille with a charging connector. The SUV also comes with bumper mounted headlamps and fog lamps.
The car also gets aerodynamic ducts to direct the airflow around the vehicle. The Punch.EV comes with 16-inch machine-finish alloy wheels with air-curtain integrated into its design. The car also gets low rolling resistance EV friendly tyres to improve the battery range.
The Tata Punch.EV also comes with a 26cm high-definition infotainment display. The Punch.EV also comes with a 26cm digital cockpit with multiple screen layouts and a plethora of information. The brand also offers Harman premium sound system. The Punch.EV also comes with a rotary gear selector with a backlit display. The car also gets feather touch panel for the automatic climate control. The EV also comes with front ventilated seats, mood lights and an air purifier with AQI display. Top-spec models also get an electric sunroof.
Tata Punch.EV – Safety Features
The Tata Punch.EV comes with 6 Airbags for safety. The EV also gets Roll-over mitigation, Electronic Stability Program, Electric parking Brake and Hydraulic fading compensation. In addition to this, the Punch.EV also comes with a 360-degree camera and blind-spot monitor. The EV also comes with SOS Calling with E-Call and B-Call. Tata also offers an 8 years or 1,60,000 km warranty.
Tata Punch.EV – Technical Specifications
Powering the Tata Punch.EV is a 60kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous AC Motor with 114 Nm of torque. Another option with 90kW PMSM produces 190 Nm of torque. The brand also offers two battery options – 25 kWh and a 35 kWh. The 25 kWh option offers an MIDC range of 315 km on a single charge. The 35 kWh battery offers 421 km of MIDC range on a single charge. The Punch.EV is electronically limited top speed of 140 kmph.
