Tata Tiago and Tigor iCNG AMT – Industry-First Features

Tata is using the industry-first twin cylinder CNG tanks that helps free up precious boot space. The twin CNG tanks are below the luggage compartment. Also, it also reduces the hassle of switching to CNG mode during drives.

Tata Tiago and Tigor iCNG AMT – Safety Features

Both the Tata Tiago and Tigor iCNG AMT come with a Micro Switch to keep car switched off at time of refuelling. The Micro Switch automatically turns off the ignition as soon as the fuel lid opens. The switch also keeps the ignition off until the lid is securely closed.

The Tiago and Tigor iCNG AMT also come with Thermal Incident Protection. Incase of a thermal incident the safety system automatically cuts off CNG supply to the engine. In addition to this, as a measure of safety, the system also releases gas from the cylinder directly into the atmosphere through a special nozzle.

The Twin Cylinder CNG tanks are under the luggage compartment and the valves and pipes are protected by the load floor. This further minimises the risk of potential damage to the tank and CNG pipes and valves. The brand also uses advanced materials to prevent any gas leaks. The cars also come with Leak Detection Feature. This immediately cuts off the gas supply and switches over to petrol fuel.

The booking price for the Tiago and Tigor iCNG AMT is INR 21,000/-.
