Apart from the new colour option, Triumph has not made any changes to the mechanicals of the bike. Powering the Thruxton RS is a 1,200cc liquid-cooled 270-degree crank angle parallel twin. The suspension setup consists of 43 mm Showa Big Piston Forks (BPF) at the front and twin Ohlins shocks with a piggyback reservoir at the back. Both the front and rear suspension offer complete adjustability. Meanwhile, the braking hardware consists of twin 310 mm discs at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear. The front uses 4-piston radial Brembo M50 monobloc callipers, while the rear uses a two-piston floating Nissin calliper.
