2021 Skoda Kodiaq SUV facelift officially revealed

Skoda reveals the Kodiaq facelift in the international market. The Skoda Kodiaq facelift features new exteriors and interiors as well as upgraded powertrains. The brand also announces that the flagship SUV will be available in the international market from July 2021. Skoda is also offering the Kodiaq in the performance-oriented RS trim with a new powerful engine.

2021 Skoda Kodiaq Exterior Design & Styling

The 2021 Kodiaq facelift features a new sharper front and rear fascia and a new design on the alloy wheels. The 2021 model comes with sleeker headlamps a much sharper hexagonal grille with double vertical slats and a new reprofiled bonnet. The clamshell design bonnet features the hallmark Skoda centre spine in a new V design. The Kodiaq also features the typical four-eyed look and now gets the option of Matrix LED headlamps. The air is typically wide and the bumper reprofiled for 2021. The taillights come with a C-shaped light signature and Skoda’s hallmark crystalline effect. The new Kodiaq also comes with aluminium details on the front and rear apron. The SUV now also comes with 20-inch alloy wheels options with a special aero design.

2021 Skoda Kodiaq Interiors and Features

On the inside, the Skoda Kodiaq features new decorative strips and stitching enhancing the ambient light effect. The SUV also features ergonomic, perforated leather seats with multiway electric seat adjustment, ventilation and massage function. The Ambition and Style trim also come with high-quality seat covers made of vegan, recycled materials. Customers can also add the option of a 10 speaker CANTON sound system. Also available as an option is the 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit instruments display but comes as standard on the RS trim. Skoda has also enhanced the Crew Protect Assist safety assistance system with additional radar sensors at the rear.

2021 Skoda Kodiaq Engine Specifications

Powering the Skoda Kodiaq is a 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine that makes 150 PS of power and a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine making 190 PS of power. Diesel aficionados also get a 2.0-litre TDI turbo-diesel engine that comes in two states of tunes, a 150 PS and 200 PS. Powering the 2021 Skoda Kodiaq RS in the international market is the EVO generation 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine that produces 245 PS of power. The engine comes with a new and lightweight 7-speed DSG transmission.

2021 Skoda Kodiaq India

Zac Hollis the Director of Sales, Service & Marketing at Skoda Auto India, revealed that after the Skoda Octavia and Kushaq, Skoda will launch the Kodiaq facelift in India. Zac Hollis also revealed that the 2021 Skoda Kodiaq facelift will come with a 2.0-litre TSI engine in India.
