Yamaha India successfully concluded the ‘The Call of the Blue’ track day in Coimbatore. The event took place at Kari Motor Speedway. This is the second time that Yamaha has conducted such an event in Tamil Nadu. The first one was held in Chennai at the Madras Motor Race Track. As for this event, Yamaha’s customers got the taste of riding their motorcycle on a racetrack. This helped them to know about various riding parameters. These include lean angles, high-speed cornering, braking and body movement.
Furthermore, the riders also learned about the benefits of the YZF-R15 V4’s features. These include the Quick-Shifter, and Traction Control System available on the YZF-R15 V4 and YZF-R15M. All-in-all, this track event was crucial for the customers to know about the true potential of their machine. Another key aspect of this event was to educate the riders about the difference between riding on a race track and out on public roads.
More Details Of The Event
For the audience present, the key attraction was the Yamaha YZF-R1 display model. The manufacturer’s flagship model has a huge fan following worldwide. It has a similar reception in India as well. Also on showcase were the Aerox 155, YZF-R15 V4 and the YZF-R15M. Close to 1000 Yamaha fans attended the event. Meanwhile, the participant count stood at 200 customers. These were owners of Yamaha products such as the YZF-R3, YZF-R15, MT-15, the FZ range and the Aerox 155.
