Yamaha’s 2022 XSR900 is a gorgeous neo-retro motorcycle

Ever since Yamaha launched the new MT-09, enthusiasts have been waiting for the new Yamaha XSR900 in the European market. Finally, Yamaha Motor Europe has unveiled the 2022 update of the Yamaha XSR900 neo-retro motorcycle. The new Yamaha XSR900 motorcycle features a huge leap in technological advancements as well as appearance. But the bike stays true to its classical DNA. Along with the latest design updates, the Yamaha XSR900 will also come with the latest CP3 engine that was updated for the Yamaha MT-09 recently. The engine is, of course, Euro5 compliant and comes with the latest electronic features. 

2022 Yamaha XSR900 – Design Highlights

The Yamaha XSR900 comes with a neo-retro design language with a rounded headlamp. But the brand offers the latest LED light technology on the motorcycle. The Yamaha XSR900 also comes with a classic style fuel tank with a retro racer look. The bike gets a short front fender and a chopped rear fender. The motorcycle also comes with a retro racer tail section with a boxy design integrated into the rear pillion. The motorcycle also comes with an exposed ‘Deltabox’ frame finished in the black and black finish on the engine. The brand is offering two colour options on the new Yamaha XSR900 – Legend Blue and Midnight Black. The Legend Blue colour comes with an old school look with a Blue theme featuring gold suspension stanchions and gold alloy wheels. The fuel tank also comes with a gold ribbon on its tank. 

2022 Yamaha XSR900 – Technical Specifications

Powering the Yamaha XSR900 is a Euro5 compliant CP3 series 889cc three-cylinder engine. The liquid-cooled engine comes with a cross-plane crankshaft technology offering versatile high torque. The engine produces 119 PS of power and 93 Nm of torque. The engine also comes with a 6-speed slipper and assist clutch. The Yamaha XSR900 comes with an upside front for suspension along with a monoshock on the rear. The brand also offers high-performance suspension and brakes.
