MY22 Yamaha MT-25 gets new colours, but not coming to India

Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha has unveiled the updated version of its 2022 MT-25 cruiser for the Indonesian market. These updates include two new colour options, namely Metallic Blue and Metallic Dark Grey, along with redesigned headlamps. The Metallic Blue paintwork features a light blue colour on the tank panels, tail section, and the body-colour matched wheels. The Metallic Dark Grey is unique as it sports orange and cyan highlights on the body panels and the wheels. It’s important to note that Yamaha is unlikely to launch the MT-25 for the Indian market.

2022 Yamaha MT-25: Design Details 

The design of the MT-25 has been inspired by the MT-09 sold in the US and the MT-15 sold in India. Along with a single silver-tipped exhaust, the bike features a projector headlamp with LEDs and uniquely designed indicators. Other design details include air intakes that compliment the bike’s streetfighter look, along with an LED tail lamp and air-scoop.

2022 Yamaha MT-25: Technical Specifications 

Powered by a 250cc, parallel-twin, fuel-injected engine, the MT-25 produces 35.5 PS of power and 23.6 Nm of torque. In terms of suspension, the bike features a unique inverted telescopic front fork and monoshock spring at the rear. Yamaha offers the MT-25 with single disc brakes on the front and back along with wide tubeless tires. The MT-25 features an informative, fully digital speedometer with a shift timing light for helping drivers to get optimal performance.

Valid till 31st October, customers can avail of cashback offers on scooters ranging from INR 3,000 to INR 4,000. The offer applies to Yamaha’s 125cc scooters such as the Fascino 125 Fi (Hybrid + Non-Hybrid) and Ray ZR 125 Fi. This also includes the Ray ZR Street Rally 125 Fi (Hybrid + Non-Hybrid).

Due to the subdued sales during the pandemic period, automotive companies plan to instil offers during the festive period. This grants them an opportunity to revive their sales figures along with encouraging customers to buy their products. Since the festive season has always proven to boost sales figures, Yamaha’s festive offers will only add more customers.
