Lamborghini has revealed the life-size replica of the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37. The life-size replica built in collaboration with the LEGO Group. The Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 replica uses over 400,000 LEGO Technic elements. The model also uses 154 different types of LEGO elements, including 20 moulded specifically for this project. The entire replica weighs 2,200 kg and replicates most minute details and dimensions to the last millimetre.
The team of engineers from both Lego and Lamborghini took 8,660 hours of development work. The 15 people painstakingly constructed the replica, which measures 4,980 mm in length, 2,101 mm in width and 1,133 mm in height. The dimensions are identical to the real-life Sian. The replica is made of the intricate fabric of bespoke interconnecting hexagonal LEGO Technic elements. This design pays homage to the brand’s integral Lamborghini’s design language.
The replica Sian also features epsilon headlights and hexagonal taillights that power up and down. The intricate details of the Sian continue to the interiors of the car. The car features a brick-built steering wheel with a Lamborghini emblem and an Italian flag. The replica also comes with LEGO built dashboard controls and racing seats. For the first time, LEGO has also incorporated a paintbrush-effect UV colour coating. The colour also matches a 1:8 scale LEGO Technic model applied by Automobili Lamborghini’s paint shop. Last year, the brand also launched the 1:8 scale LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37.
The Lamborghini Sian comes with a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V-12-cylinder petrol engine. The motor comes with the world’s first ‘Super Capacitor’ application to store electric power. The innovative SuperCapacitor can store ten times the energy of a lithium-ion battery. The hybrid engine produces combined thermal and electric power of 819 Hp. The combustion engine on its own is capable of producing 785 Hp of power.
