Italian premium automobile brand Ducati and Lamborghini have revealed the ‘Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini’. Both premium Italian manufacturers have collaborated to make the numbered edition that will appeal to both motorcyclists and collectors. The Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini comes in a limited production run of just 630 units inspired by the foundation year of Lamborghini which is 1963.
The Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini edition draws its design inspiration from the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 and has been finished in a colour called Verde Gea (Green) similar to the Lamborghini supercar unveiled last year. The Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini also features a Gold finished frame and Gold finished rims similar to the Sián FKP 37. The brand has even gone down to the detail by giving the motorcycle carbon fibre air intakes similar to the radiator inlets on the Lamborghini. Also, the exhausts have been redesigned in hexagonal carbon finish to match the look. The number ‘63’ badge emblazoned on the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 is also featured on the air intake sides of the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini.
Apart from the air intakes and the exhaust, Centro Stile Ducati has also redesigned each detail of the motorcycle for this specific project. The redesigned features not only make the bike match with the inspired car but also lighten its weight by using precious materials such as carbon fibre on the front and rear mudguards, seat cover, central tank cover, dashboard cover and headlight frame. Finally, the Ducati Red colour has been used on the high-performance Brembo brake callipers accentuating the Sián FKP 37 design down to every detail. The livery of the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini is the result of the collaboration between Centro Stile Ducati and Centro Stile Lamborghini.
The Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini is based on the Ducati Diavel 1260 S and is powered by a Euro5 compliant 1262cc, liquid-cooled, Testastretta DVT, L-Twin engine with 4-valves per cylinder with Desmodromic distribution system and ride-by-wire throttle & electronic fuel injection system producing 159 HP of power and 129 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox with Ducati bidirectional quickshifter.
As of now the brand has not revealed when the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini will be available nor its price.
