Volkswagen has launched the new Legend Edition of the Polo hot hatchback in the Indian market at the price of INR 10.25 lakh ex-showroom. The brand has announced that the Legend Edition Polo will be sold in limited numbers through all of Volkswagen’s 151 dealerships across India. The Legend Edition celebrates VW Polo’s 12 years of journey in the Indian market. The hot hatchback is still relative in the premium segment, which the brand boasts to have been defined by the segment.

The Volkswagen Polo features plenty of titles, including “Most fun-to-drive hatchback”, “An enthusiasts’ car”, and the “Hot hatch”. Thanks to the Volkswagen Polo’s timeless design, a robust built quality and high safety standards with 4-star GNCAP ratings, the hatchback has been well received in the Indian market. The Volkswagen Polo has also been the talk of the town thanks to Volkswagen’s legendary marketing campaigns. These include Polo and the newspaper with a hole, Made in India Polo campaign and Respect – it’s a GT.
Volkswagen Polo Legend Edition – Highlights
The brand also reveals that the Polo GT TSI variant is also one of the most aspirational products among Indian fans. The VW Polo Legend Edition is also built on the same GT TSI variant, owing to its popularity. The Polo Legend comes with a 1.0-litre TSI petrol three-cylinder engine. The engine comes with a 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox. The motor produces 110 PS of power and 175 Nm of torque. The brand claims that the powertrain offers a perfect balance between fuel consumption and performance thanks to the globally renowned TSI technology.
The Volkswagen Polo Legend Edition will come with the “Legend” title on the fender and a boot badge. The car will also consist of side body graphics, black trunk garnish and black roof foil. This will help the Legend Edition differentiate itself from the standard Polo. The highlights also make the Polo Legend Edition sportier.
