TVS Motor Company, one of the leading and top-selling two-wheeler manufacturers of the country announces free COVID-19 vaccination for all its employees and immediate family members. The claims are that about 35,000 direct and indirect employees from TVS Motor Company Limited, Sundaram Clayton Limited, TVS Credit Services Limited, Sundaram Auto Components Limited, and Emerald Haven Realty Limited covered under this initiative will get vaccinated. In the first phase, employees and their family members who are above the age of 60 and 45 years or older suffering from certain medical conditions will get access to the vaccine.
TVS Saw 18% Growth In February 2021
The Indian motorcycle company headquartered in Chennai registered a growth of 18% for the month of February 2021 when compared to the same period last year. In terms of numbers, the cumulative February 2021 sales figure stood at 2,97,747 units as against 2,53,261 units in February 2020. The maximum growth witnessed by the scooter segment saw the sales figures grow from 60,633 units in February 2020 to 95,525 units in February 2021 which is about 56% increase. The three-wheeler segment saw a negative growth as the sales figure degraded from 17,370 units in February 2020 to 13,166 units in February 2021. The export figure is also on the rise as the company registered 1,01,789 units of export as compared to 82,877 units for the same period last year. TVS Motor Company claims that the export market is in huge demand even though there is a limitation on the availability of shipping containers.

TVS Motor Company recently announced the launch of Apache RTR 200 4V with a Single Channel ABS available at a sticker price of INR 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom). The same motorcycle is also available with the Dual-Channel ABS option which starts from INR 1.33 lakh (ex-showroom). TVS Srichakra Ltd, part of the TVS Motor Company introduced 11 new tyres for motorcycles, scooters, and EVs in the Indian market. Apache RR310, the flagship offering from TVS Motor Company, now retails at an ex-showroom price of INR 2.5 lakhs, up by INR 5,000 when compared to its price in December 2020.
