TVS sold 2,42,012 two-wheelers in December 2022

TVS Motor Company has posted its sales for December 2022. The company posted a total sales of 242,012 units for the given period. The figure rose from 250,993 units in December 2021. Post-Covid, the sales growth for TVS has been going pretty strong with demand rising and getting stronger.

Two-Wheelers

The two-wheelers registered a total sales of 227,666 units for December 2022. This is up from 235,392 units in December 2021. Domestic two-wheeler sales registered a growth of 10 per cent. The figure increased from 146,763 units in December 2021 to 161,369 units in December 2022.

The motorcycle segment registered a total sales of 124,705 units in December 2022 as against 133,700 units in December 2021. The scooter segment registered a growth of 14 per cent. The sales increased from 67,533 units in December 2021 to 76,766 units in December 2022.

Electric Vehicles

TVS iQube Electric continued to gain good momentum and registered 11,071 units in December 2022. This has been backed by the strong order book and increasing acceptance towards electric mobility in India. TVS iQube Electric registered a total of 11,071 units in December 2022. This is against sales of 1,212 units in December 2021.

International Business

The Company’s total exports stood at 79,402 units in December 2022 as against 103,420 units in December 2021. The Tto-wheeler exports stood at 66,297 units in December 2022 as against 88,629 units in December 2021.

Three-Wheelers

For the three-wheeler segment, TVS registered a total sales of 14,346 units in December 2022. Meanwhile the same for December 2021 stood at 15,541 units.

Third Quarter Sales Performance

For the third quarter of the current financial year, two-wheeler sales stood at 8.4 lakh units. The figure is up from 8.3 lakh units in the third quarter of FY 21-22. The Three-wheeler segment posted sales of 0.43 lakh units as against 0.44 lakh units in the third quarter of FY 21-22. Total exports for TVS stood at 2.5 lakh units in the current quarter as against 2.9 lakh units in the third quarter of FY 21-22.
