MBP reveals T1002V adventure tourer motorcycle

Moto Bologna Passione, or MBP, will soon be entering the Indian market. Now, the Italian-origin company has unveiled the MBP T1002V adventure tourer motorcycle.

In terms of looks, the T1002V gets a tall and upright stance thanks to a mean looking front fascia. The bike comes with dual-LED headlamp design and a beak-like front fender underneath. At the front, the bike also gets a large windscreen. The fuel tank gets muscular and angular fairing with a sleek tail section The bike also gets a decent sized luggage rack at the back.

In terms of goodies, the bike comes with a 21-litre fuel tank, a KYB suspension setup on both ends and J.Jaun brakes. MBP has also equipped the motorcycle with knobby tyres mounted on 17-inch rear and 19-inch front wire spoke rims respectively. This will make the bike more off-road friendly and will be able to traverse across varied surfaces.

That said, the bike is surely heavy and it weighs 235 kg.

MBP has given the T1002V a 997cc, V-twin engine. Coming to the engine specifications, the V-twin engine puts out 95 BHP @ 7,600 rpm and a peak torque of 102 Nm @ 6,500 rpm.

While it is not yet clear if the bike will land up on our shores, one thing that is certain is the fact that the bike will soon be launched in the United Kingdom. The T1002V will be launched alongside the C1002V cruiser bike in the first quarter of 2023. Coming to the competitors, the T1002V will head against the likes of the Triumph Tiger 900 and BMW F850 GS.  

Indian launch of MBP M502N

The M502N gets a liquid-cooled, 486cc, parallel-twin engine. This motor makes 51 HP at 8,500rpm and 45 Nm at 6,750rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox unit. The suspension setup of the M502N consists of a preload-adjustable fork and monoshock. Braking power comes from J. Juan, which includes twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is a standard fitment with the motorcycle.

MBP will be marketed by AARI (Adishwar Auto Ride India Pvt Ltd), that currently sells 26 different motorcycles in India.
