Targetting the Gen-Z audience TVS launched the new Raider commuter motorcycle in September last year. The TVS Raider can not only handle the day-to-day requirements but is also a stylish commuter motorcycle that offers the latest features, ample power and high efficiency. Now, we got our hands on the TVS Raider bringing you a comprehensive video review of the motorcycle, so that you can make an informed buying decision.
The TVS Raider comes with a starting price tag of INR 82,953 ex-showroom, Delhi. The motorcycle is available in two options. Disc and Drum. The Disc brake variant costs INR 87,469 ex-showroom, Delhi. Raider is the first motorcycle in the segment to get riding modes. The bike also comes with features such as a reverse LCD digital speedometer along with the option of a 5-inch TFT cluster with Voice Assist and multiple ride modes. The TVS Raider also offers under-seat storage, helmet reminder, side stand indicator with engine inhibitor for safety.
Powering the TVS Raider is an air-/oil-cooled 3-valve engine with 124.8cc of displacement. The engine produces 11.2 Hp of power and 11.2 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The brand claims that the Raider is capable of sprinting from 0-60 kmph in just 5.9 seconds and is able to achieve a top speed of 99 kmph. The Raider comes with two riding modes – Eco and Power.
The TVS Raider features a single down-tube chassis and conventional telescopic front forks along with a 5-step adjustable gas-charged monoshock suspension on the rear. In addition to this, the TVS Raider comes with a single 240mm disc on the front and a 130mm mechanical drum brake on the rear. The Raider also gets a 10-litre fuel tank and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod in tubeless tyres.
The TVS Raider comes with a Naked Street Design along with quirky styling elements. The motorcycle comes with aggressive and distinct design elements with a unique headlamp and monogram. The large tank and fascia give the Raider a strong and muscular appeal. Thanks to this, the Raider has become a sporty, compact and agile motorcycle for the everyday ride. TVS offers four colour options – Fiery Yellow, Striking Red, Blazing Blue, Wicked Black.
