TVS Raider Vs. Bajaj Pulsar NS 125 – Specification Comparison

TVS recently launched a new 125cc motorcycle in the super commuter segment. The new TVS motorcycle Raider comes with a radical design and features a powerful yet efficient one-eighth-litre engine. With its quirky design language, the Raider competes with the crowd favourite Pulsar brand. The Pulsar NS125 that made its debut in April 2021 is the direct competitor to the TVS Raider. The TVS Raider comes with a sticker price of INR 77,500 ex-showroom Delhi. The brand offers, the Raider with four colour options – Fiery Yellow, Striking Red, Blazing Blue and Wicked Black. On the other hand, The Bajaj Pulsar NS125 come with a starting price of INR 98,234 ex-showroom, Delhi. Bajaj also offers the Pulsar NS125 with four colour options – Fiery Orange, Brunt Red, Beach Blue and Pewter Grey.

Powering the TVS Raider is a 124.8cc air-/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine with an ISG (Integrated Starter Generator). The engine features a three-valve distribution system and comes with two riding modes – Eco and Power. The engine produces 11.2 Hp of power and 11.2 Nm of torque. TVS pairs the engine to a 5-speed gearbox. TVS claims that the Raider can sprint from 0-60 kmph in just 5.9 seconds. The urban motorcycle is also capable of achieving a top speed of 99 kmph.

Powering the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 is a 124.45cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. The DTS-i Ei engine comes with a four-valve distribution system that helps produce 11.8 Hp of power and 11 Nm of torque. The electronic injection engine comes with a 5-speed gearbox.

The TVS Raider comes with a single down-tube chassis that rides on conventional telescopic front forks. The bike comes with a 5-step adjustable gas-charged monoshock suspension on the rear. On the other hand, the Pulsar NS125 comes with a perimeter frame that rides on a conventional telescopic front fork suspension and a monoshock on the rear.

The Raider gets a single 240mm disc on the front and a 130mm drum on the rear. The Pulsar NS125 also comes with a 240mm single disc on the front and a 130mm drum on the rear. The Raider comes with a 10-litre fuel tank while the NS125 comes with 12-litres of fuel tank capacity. Both motorcycles ride on 17-inch alloy wheels shod in tubeless tyres.

The TVS Raider comes with riding modes – Eco and Power, animalistic LED position lamps and LED headlamps. The motorcycle also comes with full digital instruments cluster which displays real-time fuel economy, distance to empty, gear shift indicator, top speed recorder, auto-idle start/stop, service indicator and a lot more. The bike also comes with an under-seat storage compartment, side stand indicator and engine inhibitor. The brand will also launch a new model variant with TVS SMARTXONNECT Bluetooth Connectivity, Voice Assistance and Navigation.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS125 comes with a wolf-eyed pilot lamp and an aerodynamic multifaceted reflector headlamp cluster with halogen bulbs. The bike also features infinity twin-strip LED taillamps and an analogue-digital instruments cluster.
