What Is This New Single Seat Variant Like?
With the launch of this new single-piece trim, TVS has discontinued the drum brake-equipped Raider. Thus, this single-seat trim is now the new entry-level spec. The corresponding trim with a split seat setup retails with a price tag of INR 94,719. On the other hand, the Bluetooth-enabled Smart-Xonnect trim retails with a price tag of INR 1 lakh. Other than the single-piece seat, the entry-spec TVS Raider remains pretty much the same. This is the story both mechanically as well as aesthetically.
Mechanical Highlights Of TVS Raider
Thus the motorcycle continues with a 124.8cc, single-cylinder engine. The performance output of the engine is set at 11.4 HP and 11.2Nm. The motorcycle equips a single-downtube frame. This frame gets the support of telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock for the rear. Braking power comes from a 240mm disc for the front wheel and a 130mm drum for the rear.
Features On Offer
In terms of features, the TVS Raider 125 comes equipped with a multi-colour LCD. This displays a host of information that includes a gear position indicator, two trip metres, fuel economy, range and more. Riders also get riding modes of Eco and Power which is another big feature of the motorcycle. With the Eco mode, the rev band is limited to 8,000rpm in the first four gears and at 7,000rpm in the fifth gear. The motorcycle also benefits from auto start/stop.
