British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has unveiled its new special edition of the Thruxton RS Ton Up for international markets. Triumph launched the bike in the US and UK at a price tag of USD 17,300 and GBP 12,800 MSRP respectively. The special edition Thruxton RS Ton Up takes inspiration from the racing heritage set by the original ‘ton-up’ cafe racers. The bike also represents the first production 100 mph lap set on the Isle of Man TT by cafe racers.

Triumph has added an ‘Aegean Blue’ coloured fuel tank combined with jet black knee pad graphics for the special edition. The bike sports a’ Fusion White’ coloured seat cowl with ‘100 Special Edition’ graphics and hand-painted coach lining. Additionally, the bike features details like ‘Carnival Red’ “100” graphics on the mudguard with a ‘Thruxton RS Ton Up” logo. Other unique design elements include black anodized wheels, black engine covers, and black Ohlins RSU springs.
Triumph Thruxton RS special edition: Technical Specifications
Powering the Thruxton RS special edition is a Bonneville 1200cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 104 PS and 112 Nm. The bike comes with a 6-speed gearbox and features a 2×2 exhaust system with twin-brushed silencers and tubular steel cradle chassis. Coupled with 17-inch wheels, the bike features an anodized aluminium, twin-sided swingarm with fully adjustable, 43mm Showa front forks.
At the rear, Triumph offers fully-adjustable Ohlins twin shocks with 120 mm of wheel travel on both ends. The bike sports dual 310 mm front Brembo disc brakes with ABS and 4-piston callipers in terms of braking. At the rear, the Thruxton RS special edition features a single 220 mm brake disc with ABS and 2-piston calliper.

Triumph has offered the Thruxton RS special edition with a plethora of rider-focused convenience features. These include an LCD multi-functional screen with an analogue speedometer and tachometer, gear-position indicator, fuel gauge, and a service indicator. Additionally, the bike offers a range-to-empty indicator, a trip computer, scroll and mode buttons on the heated handlebars, and a fuel-consumption display. Other key features include traction control status and riding mode display.
