Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza to be updated again, spotted testing

Written by Nizam Shaikh

Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch a new Vitara Brezza in the Indian market. Images of a development mule of the Vitara Brezza have emerged on the internet, which lead us to believe that the brand plans to launch the updated SUV soon in India. The new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is likely to make its debut in the Indian market by mid-2022. The brand will bring a thorough update of the Vitara Brezza, which will include changes to the exteriors, interiors, and updates to its powertrain.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza – Design Updates

According to the spied images, the new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will come with a new radiator grille and headlamps. The brand is likely to offer a unique 3D grille that integrates well with the sharper headlamp design. But, the roofline and the glasshouse appears similar to the current Vitara Brezza. The doors also appear identical to the current SUV.

However, the front and rear bumpers are likely to be reprofiled on the new car. While spy shots on the interiors are scarce, the brand is likely to bring a new design on the dashboard and new equipment. The Vitara Brezza is likely to come with new HVAC controls and a SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system. The brand is also likely to update the switchgear and instruments cluster.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza – Powertrain Updates

Powering the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is likely to be an updated version of the 1.5-litre petrol engine. We don’t expect the brand to make any significant updates on the Vitara Brezza engine. The powertrain is likely to continue with the 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed torque converter automatic option.

Competition

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will compete with the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite in the Indian market.
