Toyota Innova Hycross vs Mahindra XUV700 Dimensions
The new Innova Hycross is the longer vehicle of the two. The SUV is 60mm longer than the XUV700. In fact, it also comes with the longest wheelbase which is 100mm longer than the XUV700. But, the Innova Hycross is, however, narrower than the XUV700. Both SUVs ride on 18-inch alloy wheels. But the XUV700 also comes with 17-inch alloys for its lower-spec trims.
Toyota Innova Hycross vs Mahindra XUV700 Powertrain
Innova Hycross is available petrol-only. But it gets a strong hybrid system in higher variants. Meanwhile, the XUV700 comes with both petrol and diesel engines. Innova Hycross uses a 2.0-litre, the four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine making 172 HP and 205 Nm of torque. Only a single CVT gearbox is on offer.
Both petrol powertrains on the Hycross are down on power when compared to the XUV700’s. The diesel engine on the XUV700 comes in two different tunes for manual and automatic configurations. However, the diesel-MT powertrain is down on power when compared to both powertrains on the Innova Hycross. But, in the diesel-AT option, the XUV700 is more powerful than the petrol-NA powertrain of the Innova Hycross.
Another key difference is the gearbox options. The Innova Hycross does not come with a manual gearbox with either powertrain, while the XUV700 gets a 6-speed manual unit. As for the automatic gearbox option, the XUV700 uses a 6-speed torque converter.
Toyota Innova Hycross vs Mahindra XUV700 Seating Configurations
Both the Innova Hycross and XUV700 are three-row vehicles. The Innova Hycross is available in both 7- or 8-seater layouts. Thus, the middle row can be optioned with either a bench seat or a captain seat with the ottoman feature. Meanwhile, the third row is a 3-seat bench layout as standard.
The XUV700 comes in either 5- or 7-seater options and misses out on the availability of captain seats.
Toyota Innova Hycross vs Mahindra XUV700 Price Range
Toyota prices for the naturally aspirated petrol variants of the Innova Hycross start at INR 18.30 lakh to 19.20 lakh. While the strong-hybrid variants retail in the price range of INR 24.01 lakh to 28.97 lahks. In comparison, petrol versions of the Mahindra XUV700 fall in the price range of INR Rs 13.45 lakh to 23.10 lakh. While the diesel versions fall under the price range of INR 13.96 lakh to 24.95 lahks. All prices mentioned are in the ex-showroom.
